HP Pavilion G7-2235DX RAM Replacement

Introduction

For the RAM replacement of your laptop, you will need a screwdriver and a couple other tools. This is a relatively easy replacement and should take no more than five minutes.

What you need

  1. HP Pavilion G7-2235DX RAM Replacement, Battery: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Before beginning, make sure the laptop is properly shut down and charger is detached.

    • Slide the battery release switch to the center of the computer to release the battery.

    • Remove the battery.

    • Loosen the 7.25mm screw on the bottom of the laptop holding the "L" shaped cover down.

    • Slide the cover towards you, then pull up to remove it.

    • Locate the RAM card and the two prongs holding it in place.

    • Using either your fingers or two metal tools, push outwards on the two prongs until the RAM card pops out.

    • The RAM card can now be pulled out at a slight angle.
