The purpose of this guide is to give the necessary steps to remove your devices palm rest.

Insert the plastic opening tool between the keyboard and the plastic housing.

  • Pry the keyboard upward away from the device.

  • Move the tool around the edge of the entire keyboard while continuing to pry.

  • You will hear the clips pop once you have released them.

  • Pry upward to undo each clip.

  • Continue this process around the entire palm rest.
