HP Envy TouchSmart m6-k025dx Sleekbook Touchpad Replacement

Either way, this guide details how to remove and replace the touchpad in an HP Envy TouchSmart m6-k025dx Sleekbook laptop.

Flip the laptop over so that the backside of the laptop is facing upwards.
Use the Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the twelve 5 mm screws that secure the bottom cover.
Insert a plastic opening tool into the opening between the bottom and top cover. Gently work your way around the perimeter of the case, and pry the two halves apart until the back cover is free from the laptop.

Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the five 5 mm screws that secure the battery.

Peel back the black layer of tape, ensuring that you do not peel it off all the way.
The battery connects to the laptop port. This is where you will connect/disconnect the battery from the laptop.
Use a plastic opening tool to gently remove the connector from the port.
