HP 7 1800 Audio Jack Replacement

Introduction

You will be disassembling the HP 7 1800 and using a soldering iron to replace the audio jack.

What you need

  1. HP 7 1800 Audio Jack Replacement, Remove the back panel: step 1, image 1 of 2 HP 7 1800 Audio Jack Replacement, Remove the back panel: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Use a Spudger to open the back panel. Be careful not to break the tabs.

    • Desolder the top lead for the six solder points.

    • Once the solder is removed, gently pull the audio jack away from the motherboard with tweezers.
