Flip the device over and locate the battery compartment. Slide the battery release latch, which you can see in the picture, to the left until the battery is detached from its slot.

Find the RAM compartment cover which is located below the battery compartment. Locate Phillips head screw seen in the second picture securing RAM compartment to the plastic chassis.
  • Find the RAM compartment cover which is located below the battery compartment.

  • Locate Phillips head screw seen in the second picture securing RAM compartment to the plastic chassis.

  • Screw is permanently attached to the RAM compartment cover. Do not try to remove completely.

  • Loosen screw that is securing the RAM compartment with a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Once the screw is sufficiently loosened, slowly unclip the RAM compartment cover from its slots in the plastic chassis. When unclipped completely, pull the compartment door out and away from the chassis.

  • When unclipped completely, pull the compartment door out and away from the chassis.

Move the black plastic film to the side to locate the RAM slots. Locate the metal clips holding the RAM card in place. Using your fingers, push the clips outwards (away from the RAM card) until the RAM card pops up at a 45 degree angle.

While holding the black plastic film back from the RAM slots, slide the RAM card straight out from its connection with the logic board.
  • While holding the black plastic film back from the RAM slots, slide the RAM card straight out from its connection with the logic board.

  • Maintain the 45 degree angle of the RAM card until all pins are disconnected. Failure to do so may result in breaking the RAM card's connecting pins.
