Introduction

The guide will show you how to replace the battery on the HKC p774A tablet. This is a difficult process, and the battery will need to be properly disposed of upon completion.

Image 1/3: This will create a gap between the device and screen housing. Image 2/3: Insert the plastic opening tool into this gap and move it along this gap. Image 3/3: Make sure not to bent the digitizer during this step.
  • Insert the flat end of the spudger into the side of the device

Image 1/3: Two small black pins (circled in red) will need to be unlocked. Image 2/3: Unlock the pins by pulling them outward with the tweezers. Image 3/3: Make sure the pins are released  entirely before attempting to remove the band.

Image 1/3: Push open the tabs (circled in red) using the flat end of the plastic spudger. Image 2/3: Be sure not to bend the digitizer while prying. Image 3/3: Continue to release all tabs while continuing to pry the LCD away from the digitizer.
  • Once the digitizer has been disconnected from the motherboard, the LCD screen must be removed from the digitizer.

  • Push open the tabs (circled in red) using the flat end of the plastic spudger.

  • Be sure not to bend the digitizer while prying.

  • Continue to release all tabs while continuing to pry the LCD away from the digitizer.
