HAMILTON C-1 Bacterial Filter Replacement (Coaxial Circuit Setup)

  1. HAMILTON C-1 Bacterial Filter Replacement (Coaxial Circuit Setup), Bacterial Filter: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Orient Hamilton-C1 so the right side of the device is facing you.

  2. HAMILTON C-1 Bacterial Filter Replacement (Coaxial Circuit Setup): step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Disconnect HME (heat and moisture exchanger) and flex tube

    • Bacterial filter is held within the HME.

    • Use both hands to gently pull and/or twist the flex tube and HME away from one another until fully disconnected.

    • The HME should still be connected to the overall circuit setup.

    • In reassembly, a new HME with a non-contaminated bacterial filter will be reconnected to the flex tube for this step.

  3. HAMILTON C-1 Bacterial Filter Replacement (Coaxial Circuit Setup): step 3, image 1 of 1
    • Disconnect HME and circuit setup

    • Use both hands to gently pull and/or twist the flow sensor and HME away from one another until fully disconnected.

    • The HME (with used/contaminated bacterial filter) should now be completely disconnected from all parts.

    • In reassembly, a new HME with a non-contaminated bacterial filter will be reconnected to the flow sensor for this step.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
