    • Various Nespresso coffee machines models don't pump water after months of storage and disuse. It's a very common problem in this type coffee maker, the tubing inside dries out and the machine can't pump water. After trying a couple of times, let's look at home-brewed method to get water flowing from the tank.

    • First—Remove the water tank.

  2. Guide 2: Nespresso coffee machines don't fill with water after long idle time: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • We need the following two things for this procedure:

    • A syringe, the bigger the better. In this case I use a 20ml one.

    • Second: A piece of foam or sponge. Ideally as rigid as possible. A piece of wide rubber that exceeds the diameter of the syringe can also work.

    • We will make a hole in the sponge up to half of its depth so that the mouth of the syringe can rest in it.

    • We will make a small opening so that when we insert the syringe, the tip will protrude slightly beyond the sponge.

  5. Guide 2: Nespresso coffee machines don't fill with water after long idle time: step 5, image 1 of 1
    • Using the syringe, we will fill the hole where the water reservoir rests.

    • Support the sponge or foam with the syringe, completely covering the hole

    • In the photos we see that the syringe is inclined, I chose to make the hole in the sponge in this inclined fashion so it will work with the greatest number of coffee makers, since depending on the type of tank, some protrude at the rear and the syringe could be obstructed by the machine.

    • This way is more versatile, maximizing compatibility for more models.

    • First. Having positioned the syringe, press down so that the water does not escape through the side.

    • Second. Press the button for a large cup, for example.

    • Third. Press the plunger down completely while the water pump is running.

    • Fourth. As soon as we empty the syringe, press the button again to stop the pump.

    • Fifth. We remove the syringe.

  8. Guide 2: Nespresso coffee machines don't fill with water after long idle time: step 8, image 1 of 1
    • Using the syringe, we fill the hole where the water reservoir rests.

  9. Guide 2: Nespresso coffee machines don't fill with water after long idle time: step 9, image 1 of 1
    • Put the filled water reservoir in its place.

    • With the water reservoir correctly placed, lift the capsule lever completely.

    • Press the large coffee button.

    • When water starts to flow from the reservoir, close the lever to ensure that water begins to flow.

    • Our problem is hereby solved.

    • If this method doesn't solve the problem, we can try repeating it, and if the machine still doesn't suck in water, we'll only have to disassemble it to manually prime the water inlet hose to the pump.

    • Explanatory video of the 2nd Option.

Conclusion

Well done. Try to cycle the coffee machine every once in a while to prevent this from happening again

Muchas gracias.

Muchas gracias a ti BuzzDee
