Google Chromebook Pixel 2 Speaker Replacement

What you need

  1. Google Chromebook Pixel 2 Speaker Replacement, Back Panel: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Working on your device while it is turned on may result in electric shock. Make sure to shut down and unplug your device before you begin.

    • Flip your device over so the bottom panel is facing up.

    • Peel off the black rubber strips from top and bottom of the back panel.

    • Remove the fifteen 3 mm Phillips #00 screws from the back panel.

    • Carefully lift the back panel off of the device.

    • Remove the three red 4.5 mm Phillips #00 screws from the speaker on the right sight of the motherboard.

    • Using the plastic opening tool disconnect the speaker wires from the motherboard,

    • Carefully remove right speaker from the device.

    • Using the plastic opening tool, pop out the connector that joins the headphone jack port on the left side to the motherboard.

    • Remove the red 4.5 mm Phillips #00 screw from the top of the headphone jack port.

  10. Google Chromebook Pixel 2 Speaker Replacement: step 10, image 1 of 1
    • Gently remove the headphone jack port.

    • Remove the three red 4.5 mm Phillips #00 screws from the speaker.

  12. Google Chromebook Pixel 2 Speaker Replacement: step 12, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the left speaker.
