Introduction

There are two joysticks on the G3 Gamecube controller. There is the C-Stick (yellow) and the Joystick(gray). Both are very easy to replace and can be done in under 5 minutes.

First, remove the 6 screws that hold the controller together. First, remove the 6 screws that hold the controller together. First, remove the 6 screws that hold the controller together.

Next, open up the controller. You will notice the rumble motor is attached to the motherboard and to the bottom of the controller. Unscrew the rumble motor from the bottom of the controller. Next, open up the controller. You will notice the rumble motor is attached to the motherboard and to the bottom of the controller. Unscrew the rumble motor from the bottom of the controller. Next, open up the controller. You will notice the rumble motor is attached to the motherboard and to the bottom of the controller. Unscrew the rumble motor from the bottom of the controller.
  • Next, open up the controller. You will notice the rumble motor is attached to the motherboard and to the bottom of the controller. Unscrew the rumble motor from the bottom of the controller.

Once your rumble motor is out, you'll see a green part on the motherboard. Unscrew it from the mother board, and pull it up. Attached to this green part is the c-stick. Firmly but gently pull the c-stick off, and clean in and around that area before reattaching. Once your rumble motor is out, you'll see a green part on the motherboard. Unscrew it from the mother board, and pull it up. Attached to this green part is the c-stick. Firmly but gently pull the c-stick off, and clean in and around that area before reattaching. Once your rumble motor is out, you'll see a green part on the motherboard. Unscrew it from the mother board, and pull it up. Attached to this green part is the c-stick. Firmly but gently pull the c-stick off, and clean in and around that area before reattaching.

Finally, unscrew the motherboard from the controller and pull the motherboard out. You will see the regular joystick is attached to the motherboard. Firmly, yet gently, pull the joystick out and clean around the are before reattaching. Finally, unscrew the motherboard from the controller and pull the motherboard out. You will see the regular joystick is attached to the motherboard. Firmly, yet gently, pull the joystick out and clean around the are before reattaching. Finally, unscrew the motherboard from the controller and pull the motherboard out. You will see the regular joystick is attached to the motherboard. Firmly, yet gently, pull the joystick out and clean around the are before reattaching.
  • Finally, unscrew the motherboard from the controller and pull the motherboard out. You will see the regular joystick is attached to the motherboard. Firmly, yet gently, pull the joystick out and clean around the are before reattaching.
