  • Open the side panel, housing the battery compartment, by pressing the center button down and twisting the dial.

  • Release the battery from its secured position by pulling the orange tab back. The battery can then be removed from its compartment.

  • Locate and remove the screws (2mm, 5 each) on the bottom of the camera, using PH000 Phillip hex head bit.

  • Located and remove the screws (2mm, 2 each) from the top of the camera, using H1.3 hex head bit.

  • Locate and remove the screws (2mm, 2 each) on the side of the camera, using H1.3 hex head bit.

  • Using a plastic opening tool, gently start to pry the button case, located at the top of the camera, so it unclips.

  • Continue to the side of the camera to gently pry the side area of the case apart.

  • Continue to the bottom of the camera and gently pry the case apart.

  • It is now safe to remove the yellow front panel. While using your plastic opening tool, gently pry the front panel away from the camera.

  • On the front of the camera, using the H1.3 hex head bit, remove the four screws shown.

  • Continue to the back of the camera, using the H1.3 hex head bit, and remove the screw shown.

Image 1/1: Using your plastic tool, carefully pry the two clips shown to  separate the case.
  • Open the side of the camera, where the battery is housed.

  • Unclip the front interior panel from the top, bottom and side of the camera.

  • Gently open the camera, taking care of the major data lines connecting the motherboard to the LCD screen.

Image 1/1: Carefully remove the tape  binding the screen to the camera (indicated by arrows in the image).
  • Once you expose the inside of the camera, use the PH000 Phillips head bit and remove the four screws as shown.

  • Carefully remove the tape binding the screen to the camera (indicated by arrows in the image).

  • Gently pry the LCD screen from the case, using a plastic opening tool.

  • Unclip the LCD data line from the mother board, using the plastic opening tool.
