Fix LG 32LF360V clouding

What you need

    • Lay the TV face down on a table so that the stand is not touching the table and the TV is level.

    • It is best to place a soft cloth under the display so that it cannot be scratched.

    • Unscrew the two Phillips screws from the base and pull it down so that it can be loosened.

    • Unscrew the six Phillips screws from the back cover.

    • The one screw between the connectors has a different shape than the others, keep it separate from the others.

    • Now slide a pick between the back cover and the frame and gradually separate them until all sides are loose.

    • The upper side can take a lot of force, if it doesn't work with a pick, try to open the back cover as far as possible until the upper side detaches itself.

    • Take the IR receiver out of its place and disconnect the cable from the mainboard.

    • The cable can break quickly, disconnect it carefully.

    • Take the speakers out of their place and disconnect the cables.

    • Unscrew the 8 Phillips screws from the two metal covers on the bottom of the TV.

    • Now fold up the two black brackets on the boards you just uncovered and take out the flex cables.

    • The brown flex cables at the bottom of the boards are very sensitive. If these are damaged, the entire display may no longer work.

    • Unscrew the 18 Phillips screws on the sides of the TV.

    • Turn the TV over.

    • Carefully remove the frame around the display.

    • Before you start: the LCD display is highly sensitive and can break at the slightest bend. Be as careful as possible with this step and give yourself enough time.

    • Use several suction cups to remove the LCD display from the frame.

    • Again, you have to be careful with the brown flex cables just mentioned, as they come out with the display in this step.

    • Remove the 2nd frame with e.g. a spudger by releasing the small clips on the sides.

    • Remove the multiple layers of film from the TV.

    • The foils must be reinstalled later in the same order. Don't swap them.

    • Glue the scattered lenses back on, e.g. with superglue.

    • Make sure that the 3 pins on the scatter lenses are correctly seated on the LED strip when you stick them on.

    • Congratulations! You managed to fix your TV!

Conclusion

Work the steps in reverse order to reassemble your device.
