2005 Jeep Liberty Fog Light Replacement

What you need

  1. 2005 Jeep Liberty Fog Light Replacement, Fog Light: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Open the hood to access the radiator grill tabs.

    • Pull up on the first tab and repeat for the remaining four tabs.

    • Tilt the radiator grill cover forward and lift up and out to remove.

    • Using an allen wrench, turn the tension screw counter-clockwise to loosen the light housing.

    • Lift up on the tension screw to release the light housing.

    • Using a flat-head screwdriver, pull the tab outward to remove the light housing.

    • Repeat the procedure for the right side of the light housing.

    • Pull the light housing toward you.

    • Remove the wiring harness from the light socket by lifting up on the tab with a flat-head screwdriver.

    • Remove the light socket from the light housing by turning counter-clockwise.

    • Remove the light socket from the light housing and replace.

    • The light socket part number is 9145 and can be purchased at any auto parts store.

    • Install the new light socket back into the light housing by turning clockwise.

    • Plug the wiring harness back in the light socket.

Conclusion

Test the replacement light socket by turning the lights on. If working, reinstall the light housing and radiator grill cover.
