External battery Disassembly

What you need

  1. External battery Disassembly, External battery Disassembly: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • IFIXIT Battery pack

    • You'll need to use a heat gun to heat the adhesive

    • Heat the top of the pack for 2-3 minutes. Be careful when touching the pack after heating

    • Take the Jimmy and slide it in the grove and gently pry up and slowly work the jimmy down and around the pack

    • Once done, you will see the adhesive.

    • Clean the remaining adhesive off the battery pack
