Introduction

If your Dyson V8 Animal is not performing at optimal efficiency, you may need to replace or clean the bin filter. The bin filter collects dust and other items to allow the vacuum to perform at peak efficiency. A broken or dirty filter will make the vacuum perform poorly.

Before using this guide, inspect the bin filter. Sometimes, the bin filter only needs to be washed and cleaned rather than being replaced completely.

No special skills are required for this guide.

Before beginning, make sure to turn off the vacuum and disconnect it from any external power source.
