What you need

    • Unplug the hairdryer to avoid further hazard.

    • Remove the dirty filter cage by twisting the filter towards the left.

    • The filter cage will be unlocked when the red dot matches the white thin circle.

    • Do not run your hairdryer without a filter cage.

    • Soak the filter cage in dish soap and warm water for at least 30 minutes.

    • You can leave the filter in for multiple hours or overnight if it's especially dirty.

    • Use the supplied filter cleaning brush or any other cleaning tool to vigorously scrub the soaked filter cage.

    • Be sure to remove all blockages.

    • Insert the filter back into the filter cage and install the filter cage back onto the device.

    • The filter cage will be locked when the red dot matches the white filled circle.

My Dyson hair dryer has quitting every 30 seconds - apparently overheating. It was very easy to remove the filter cage and wipe the filter clean. Problem solved!
