Introduction

This guide will show you the steps necessary to replace the power cord on your Dyson DC14 vacuum cleaner.

Start with your Dyson DC14 unplugged, standing upright and facing towards you. Remove the canister from the vacuum.

  • Disconnect the telescopic vacuum wand.

  • Remove the two T15 Torx screws securing the switch cover to the vacuum.

    • The terminals will only fit one way during reassembly. Only one of the wires is long enough to reach the far terminal of the switch.
