Introduction

If you are using your Dyson Multi Floor Upright and you have been noticing that the suction has not been working as well as it should be, it is probably time to replace the brushbar component of the vacuum. This should be a quick and easy replacement if you follow the guide carefully.

  • Lay the vacuum on its back and remove the red clip from the bottom front of the vacuum by placing both your thumbs on either side and pulling up.

  • Pull off the vacuum head by pulling gently towards your body.

  • Lift up on both of the red levers on either side to remove the rectangular dark grey piece that the levers are connected to from the head piece.

Image 1/2: Remove the four 15 mm T-10 black screws in each of the four corners of the remaining head piece by using a Phillips 0 screwdriver, which can be found in the iFixit kit.   • Identify the four 15 mm T-10 black screws.

  • Remove the four 15 mm T-10 black screws in each of the four corners of the remaining head piece by using a Phillips 0 screwdriver, which can be found in the iFixit kit.

  • With both hands, firmly grab one of the black circular ends of the purple brushbar. Pull up and out to remove the brushbar from the head piece. Repeat this on the other side.
