Display Replacement

Introduction

I purchased my X1 Gen 8 in early 2021, and the display recently malfunctioned, showing white static. I went to an authorized Lenovo service center for inspection and had the display replaced. It is working normally now. It cost 1137 yuan. You can buy displays and replacement tutorials on Taobao, but I was afraid they wouldn't be reliable. The Gen 8 display is 1920x1080, 400 nits, 72% NTSC wide color gamut, and anti-glare. The Gen 9 display is 1920x1200/2.2K. Be careful when buying a display yourself. Personally, I feel it is more reliable to go to an authorized service center; there are too many pitfalls at other repair shops. Of course, you are an exception if you are a professional.

Conclusion

Follow these instructions in reverse order for reassembly.
