Disassembling Skil 88 Front Housing

Introduction

The front housing includes the motor, the chuck, and the gears. There's a good chance that whatever needs to be replaced will be found in here.

What you need

  1. Disassembling Skil 88 Front Housing, Disassembling Skil 88 Front Housing: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • On the front of the drill, remove the three 2" flathead screws connecting the front housing to the rear housing.

    • Pull the front housing apart from the rear.

    • The motor and gears might fall out when you are pulling it apart.
