Disassembling Midland X-tra Talk Radio LXT118 Batteries

What you need

    • First, apply pressure with your thumb on the top of the battery cover.

    • Next, pull down on the cover until it begins to slide.

  2. Disassembling Midland X-tra Talk Radio LXT118 Batteries: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Finally, once the cover is completely off, pry up the old batteries with your finger or a strong, skinny tool (i.e. spudger).

We have 2 that we have not used in over a year. The back covers absolutely won’t come off - I assume the batteries corroded and formed a kind of cement. Any tips?
