Introduction

Guide shows how to dismantle the top part of the mouse buttons. This is particularly useful when it is impossible to clean the dirt in the mouse.

All you need is a screwdriver and a little patience.

  • In the marked spot, gently pry and peel off glides

At this point it's very likely that you destroy the glides so it's probably a good idea to order some new before attempting the teardown.

  • Gently pull the four wires from the holder at the top of the casing

  • Remove the seven screws holding the upper part of the housing and the side keys. You only need to remove the four near the bottom to remove the top cover.

  • Gently press into the side keys and slide it towards the bottom of the housing

  • Gently pry the lock holding both mouse buttons
