Introduction

If your back case is scratched or cracked replacing your back case might be your best option. A new one can be installed using this guide.

Image 1/3: Remove the bottom cover by sliding it off. Image 2/3: Remove the bottom cover by sliding it off. Image 3/3: Remove the bottom cover by sliding it off.
  • Power off your device.

  • Remove the bottom cover by sliding it off.

Image 1/1: Remove the four screws securing on the bottom casing.
  • Remove your SIM card.

  • Remove the four screws securing on the bottom casing.

    • Two 3.0 mm Philips #0 screws in the top left and right corners.

    • Two 2.0 mm Philips #0 screws in the bottom left and right corners.

  • Remove the 2.0 mm Philips #0 screw. There is an identical screw in the same spot on the other side of the phone.

  • Use a plastic opening tool to pry open the bottom casing.

  • Remove the bottom casing by pulling it towards you.

Image 1/3: Remove both screws securing on the back case. Image 2/3: One 4.0 mm Philips #0 screw. Image 3/3: One 3.0 mm Philips #0 screw.
  • Pry up rear camera panel with the plastic opening tool.

  • Remove both screws securing on the back case.

    • One 4.0 mm Philips #0 screw.

    • One 3.0 mm Philips #0 screw.

Image 1/3: Pry from right to left to avoid potential damages to the ribbon. Image 2/3: Pry from right to left to avoid potential damages to the ribbon. Image 3/3: Pry from right to left to avoid potential damages to the ribbon.
  • Use jimmy tool to pry up OEM SIM Card and SD Card reader contact.

    • Pry from right to left to avoid potential damages to the ribbon.

Image 1/3: Gently pull the screen out from the front of the phone, while feeding the OEM reader contact through the opening. Image 2/3: Gently pull the screen out from the front of the phone, while feeding the OEM reader contact through the opening. Image 3/3: Gently pull the screen out from the front of the phone, while feeding the OEM reader contact through the opening.
  • Gently push on the two rear, visible corners of the bottom of the motherboard.

  • Gently pull the screen out from the front of the phone, while feeding the OEM reader contact through the opening.
