Introduction

We will be replacing the speaker in the tablet by first taking the tablet apart. Luckily it can be easily removed with wire cutters or a soldering iron.

  • Remove the two Phillips #00 screws from the bottom of the case.

Image 1/2: Carefully work your way around the perimeter, wedging the opening tool between the front and back of the tablet. Image 2/2: When the back of the tablet is mostly detached from the front, carefully pull it away completely.
  • Wedge the opening tool in the space between the back and the front of the tablet.

  • Carefully work your way around the perimeter, wedging the opening tool between the front and back of the tablet.

  • Pull the speaker away from the tablet. It should easily come off, as it is held on with a magnet.

  • Remove the wires from the motherboard using a soldering iron and a solder sucker.
