  • Unscrew three 5mm #2 Phillps screws.

Image 1/1: Make your way around the outside of the keyboard.
  • Pry up the top of the cover first. Use a spudger to wedge in between the cover and base of the computer.

  • Make your way around the outside of the keyboard.

  • Cracking sounds are normal. Be careful and take your time removing this panel.

  • Prior to prying up on the cover, you may have to first remove one screw located inside the battery compartment (M2X3) and release the two (2) latches or you'll snap the cover.

  • Work your hands around the cover. Use your hands to pull up the rest of the cover.

  • Slowly lift the top of the keyboard and then pull the keyboard towards the screen.

  • Using a spudger, slowly open up the black clip holding down the cable.

  • You may then disassemble the cables from the base of the computer.

  • Once released, you may pull the keyboard away completely.

  • Place the computer back in the upright position, and pull gently on the wires, making sure not to pull too hard to damage the wires.

  • Grab the screen on both sides and pull upward to remove the entire screen from the computer.
