Dell Vostro V131 Hard Drive Replacement

Step 1 Removing the Battery



• Slide the release latches to unlock the battery.
• Remove the battery from the computer.
• If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.
Step 2 Remove Hard Drive Screw

• Remove the screw that secures the hard drive in place.
Step 3 Sliding the Hard Drive Free
• Slide the hard drive module to the left.
Step 4 Prying Hard Drive Up
• Carefully pry up and remove the hard drive from the computer.
Step 5 Removing Bracket
• Remove the screws which secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive. Separate the hard drive bracket from the hard drive.
• If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.
