Dell Vostro 5459 Memory Module Replacement

What you need

  1. Dell Vostro 5459 Memory Module Replacement, Removing the Base Cover: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the screws that secure the back cover to the computer.

    • Pry the edges of the back cover from all sides, to release the back cover.

    • Lift the back cover from the computer.

    • If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

    • Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board [1].

    • Remove the screws that secure the battery to the computer [2].

    • Lift and remove the battery from the computer [3].

    • If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

    • Lift the plastic enclosure covering the top of the memory module compartment.

    • Pull the retention clips from the memory module until it pops up.

    • Remove the memory module from the connector on the system board.

    • If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.
