Introduction

In this guide, will be showing you how to remove and replace the Memory Module.

What you need

1. Step 1 Removing the Battery
  Slide the battery release latch toward the side of the computer until it is engaged.
  
  Slide the battery out of the bay.
  
  If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

1. Step 2 Removing the Cover
  Turn the computer upside-down, loosen the eight captive screws on the cover and remove the cover.

2. Step 3 Popping up the Memory Module
  NOTICE: To prevent damage to the memory module connector, do not use tools to spread the memory module securing clips.
  
  NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer).
  
  Use your fingertips to carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end of the memory module connector until the module pops up.
  
  Remove the module from the connector.
  
  If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.
