Dell Precision 7560 NVMe Solid-State Drive (Expansion) Replacement

Introduction

This guide shows how to replace NVMe expansion sticks on a Dell Precision 7560 laptop. You will need to pull gently.

What you need

  1. Dell Precision 7560 NVMe Solid-State Drive (Expansion) Replacement, NVMe Solid-State Drive (Expansion): step 1, image 1 of 3 Dell Precision 7560 NVMe Solid-State Drive (Expansion) Replacement, NVMe Solid-State Drive (Expansion): step 1, image 2 of 3 Dell Precision 7560 NVMe Solid-State Drive (Expansion) Replacement, NVMe Solid-State Drive (Expansion): step 1, image 3 of 3

    • The screws holding the back cover in place can not be removed.

    • Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to loosen the eight 5 mm captive screws in the bottom cover.

    • Remove the back cover by lifting at the corners.

    • Use the Phillips #0 screwdriver to unscrew and remove the two 2 mm screws that secure the expansion NVMe SSD sticks.

    • Disconnect the left SSD stick by pulling its exposed end towards you.

    • Repeat the same procedure to the right SSD stick.
