Introduction

By following the steps in this guide one should be able to replace the fan on the device (Dell Inspiron 7568).

Parts

No parts required.

Unscrew & remove the ten 7mm screws (using a ph1 screwdriver) holding the bottom cover Remove the bottom cover
  • Unscrew & remove the ten 7mm screws (using a ph1 screwdriver) holding the bottom cover

  • Remove the bottom cover

Unscrew & remove the four 3mm screws (using the ph1 screwdriver bit) holding the battery Unhinge the connector cable to the battery
  • Unscrew & remove the four 3mm screws (using the ph1 screwdriver bit) holding the battery

  • Unhinge the connector cable to the battery

  • Remove the battery

Deck the Halls
With tools and Fix Kits
Unclip the cable connecting the fan to the mother board. Separate  the motherboard cable from the clamp at the bottom of the fan.
  • Unclip the cable connecting the fan to the mother board.

  • Separate the motherboard cable from the clamp at the bottom of the fan.

  • Remove the cable.

Unscrew the two 3mm screws (using the ph1 screwdriver bit) holding the fan. Remove the fan
  • Unscrew the two 3mm screws (using the ph1 screwdriver bit) holding the fan.

  • Remove the fan

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
