  1. Dell Inspiron 700m Hinge Cover Replacement, Removing battery: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the battery by sliding and holding the battery release latch.

    • Make sure your computer is turned off and unplugged.

    • Open the display 180 degrees.

    • Use a plastic flat screwdriver to slide the hinge caps away from the computer.
