What you need

  1. Dell Inspiron 5379 Battery Replacement, Disconnecting the Battery Cable: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the four screws (M2x3.0) that secure the battery to the palm-rest assembly.

    • Lift the battery off the palm-rest assembly.

    • Press and hold the power button for five seconds to ground the system board.

    • Align the screw holes on the NEW battery with the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly.
