    • Remove the battery by sliding the lever under the laptop

    • Locate all of the screws under your laptop securing the bottom plate. You should see ten little black screws under the laptop and one big silver screw in the battery compartment.

    • It is important to remove the littlest screw in the middle of the plate as it secures the CD/DVD drive which needs to be removed during this process

    • In the battery compartment, you should see a little bit of the silver part of the DVD drive. Use a tool to push the DVD drive out of it's compartment.

    • You will see little notches on the keyboard. Use an opening pick or a flat-head screwdriver (preferably an opening pick) and insert it into the notch, working your way around the edges of the keyboard until it fully pops off.

    • Make sure you handle the keyboard carefully, as there are still wire bands (idk what they're called lol) still connected to the internals. You can simply disconnect the keyboard connection by lifting the lever securing the band.

    • Any other cable bands you see you can disconnect, as this is needed to get into the laptop
