Introduction

The Memory Module (RAM) is one of the two memory storage places in your laptop. Some of your laptop's speed is dependent on the Memory Module so an upgrade may boost your laptop's overall performance if your current one if full.

  • Before disassembling your laptop, be sure it is powered off.

  • Remove the ten 7.5mm screws that secure the back panel with the Phillips #0 head

In the official service manual, they also recommend the following after removing battery.:

"Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds, to ground the system board."

  • Locate your memory module (RAM).
