Introduction

The Dell Axim X30 has 5 buttons on the front of the device below the main screen. This guide will focus on the replacement of the home button, messaging button, navigator button, contacts button, and calendar button.

  1. Remove the four rubber feet with your fingers. Remove the four rubber feet with your fingers.

  6. Disconnect ribbon cables. You may need to use a little force to disconnect them. Disconnect red and white wired connector for speaker and motherboard battery.
    • Disconnect ribbon cables.

  7. Remove three 12.7mm JIS #0 screws. Remove three 12.7mm JIS #0 screws.

  9. Remove the two 9.6 mm screws by the speaker and green battery with a JIS #0 screwdriver.
