Dell Alienware 14 Speakers Replacement

Step 1 Remove the Screws

• WARNING: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer and follow the steps in Before Working Inside Your Computer. After working inside your computer, follow the instructions in After Working Inside Your Computer.
• Remove the screws that secure the speakers to the palm-rest assembly.
Step 2 Disconnecting the Speakers Cable

• Disconnect the speakers cable from the status-light board.
Step 3 Note the Routing
• Note the routing of the speakers cable and remove the cable from the routing guide.
Step 4 Lifting the Speakers
• Lift the speakers along with the its cable off the palm-rest assembly.
Step 5 Align the Screw Holes
• Align the screw holes on the NEW speakers with the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly.
Step 6 Replace the Screws
• Replace the screws that secure the speakers to the palm-rest assembly.
Step 7 Route the Speakers
• Route the speakers cable through the routing guide on the palm-rest assembly and connect the speakers cable to the status-light board connector.
