DeWalt DW920 Disassembly

This guide is only intended to be used as a prerequisite for other guides. It's incomplete by itself.

Introduction

Before going into replacing anything on this drill you will want to read through this guide in order to properly disassemble the drill. Following these steps will be your first step in most replacements.

What you need

  1. DeWalt DW920 Disassembly, Disassembly: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Using an H-5.0 bit driver remove the four T-10 Torx screws.

  3. DeWalt DW920 Disassembly: step 2, image 1 of 1

    • Use 2 H-5.0 bit drivers to take out the main bolt and head.

    • There will be blue locktite on the tread.

  4. DeWalt DW920 Disassembly: step 3, image 1 of 1

    • Carefully remove the two halves of the handle.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
