DeWalt DW235G Drill Power Cord Replacement

What you need

  1. DeWalt DW235G Drill Power Cord Replacement, Handle Cover: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the three screws with a Tr20 hex bit screwdriver.

    • Remove the back cover.

    • Unscrew the Tr20 Hex Screw connecting the green wire to the power cord.

    • Ensure the power drill is unplugged before disconnecting wires.

    • Disconnect all the wires connected from the trigger box and power cord to the drill motor by pulling on the connectors.

    • There will be 5 wires to disconnect: 2 black, a white, a red, and a blue wire. Remember the locations of where they were connected so you can reconnect them later.

    • Remove the trigger box and power cord from the main chassis.

    • Disconnect the wires connecting the power cord to the trigger box by pressing on the clips with a spudger tool.

    • There will be 3 wires to disconnect: A black, white, and green wire. Remember what color attaches to each connector on the trigger box.

    • For reassembly, insert the wires back into the trigger box until a click is heard.

Conclusion

The power cord will now be disconnect and you can replace it with a new one.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
