Crosscall Trekker M1-Core Battery Replacement

What you need

  1. Crosscall Trekker M1-Core Battery Replacement, Removing the card cover: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Attention: Please turn off your phone before any disassembly.

    • Unscrew the 2 flat head screws from the SIM card cover.

    • The 2 screws are captive: lift the cover using the slots on the sides to remove the assembly.

  2. Crosscall Trekker M1-Core Battery Replacement, Removing the rear panel: step 2, image 1 of 3 Crosscall Trekker M1-Core Battery Replacement, Removing the rear panel: step 2, image 2 of 3 Crosscall Trekker M1-Core Battery Replacement, Removing the rear panel: step 2, image 3 of 3
    • Remove the 10 hexagonal screws.

    • One of the 2 screws located under the SIM card cover has a cover that will need to be pierced with the tip. This may invalidate the manufacturer's warranty.

    • These 10 screws are the same length and are interchangeable with each other.

    • Open the waterproof cap of the USB socket and remove the 2 Phillips screws (see photo 2).

    • Open the waterproof cap of the earphone socket and remove the Phillips screw (see photo 3).

    • Lift the rear panel which should come without forcing.

  3. Crosscall Trekker M1-Core Battery Replacement, Free access to the battery connector: step 3, image 1 of 2 Crosscall Trekker M1-Core Battery Replacement, Free access to the battery connector: step 3, image 2 of 2
    • You can take advantage of this step to check the condition of the red seal and dust it if necessary.

    • Unscrew the four (4) Phillips screws to release the black plate supporting the SIM card.

    • Gently lift this black plate and release the connector with the flat end of a spudger. (The connector is visible in photo 2 when the black plate is separated from the device)

    • The battery connector (blue arrow) and the NFC connector (orange arrow) are now accessible.

  4. Crosscall Trekker M1-Core Battery Replacement, Extract the battery: step 4, image 1 of 2 Crosscall Trekker M1-Core Battery Replacement, Extract the battery: step 4, image 2 of 2
    • Unscrew the metal plate protecting the battery (4 Phillips screws).

    • Do not mix these screws with the 4 screws from the previous step; their length is different.

    • Two plastic cleats are inserted into the sheet. Check that they are inserted correctly during reassembly.

    • Disconnect the battery connector with the flat end of a spudger (use a plastic spudger to avoid a short circuit).

    • Lift the metal plate stuck to the battery (to extract it) and gently pull on the NFC sensor socket (you have to pull towards the bottom of the device to disconnect it).

  5. Crosscall Trekker M1-Core Battery Replacement, Separate the battery from the metal plate: step 5, image 1 of 1
    • With the battery separated from the smartphone, remove it from the metal plate with a suitable solvent

    • In the absence of solvent, it is possible to remove the battery with a hair dryer and a metal spudger.

    • Warning: Heating the battery may degrade its performance. Do not use a hair dryer if you want to reuse the battery.

    • Be careful not to bend or puncture the battery during this procedure: A damaged flexible lithium-ion battery may leak dangerous chemicals and can catch fire and even explode!

    • Insert the new battery.

    • Connect the connector for the power supply using a plastic spudger.

    • Replace the metal plate and slide the NFC sensor connector into its socket.

    • Insert the 4 screws that tighten the metal plate.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow the instructions in reverse order.

Bonjour

Merci beaucoup

Albert
