Introduction

This guide demonstrates how to replace the hard drive. The tool needed is a flat edged plastic tool.

  1. Work your way around the recess of the device with a flat tool like a flathead screwdriver.

  2. To detach wires from the screen, gently tug on the wires connected to the battery. They are located on the bottom half of the screen.

    • Pull black hard drive connector located at the top right.

Download the firmware software from: http://support.creative.com/Downloads/we...

(Select firmware).

Then:

Close all application windows that are currently running on your computer.

Connect your player to your computer.

Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.
