Creating a cube from magnetic balls

Initial state: a ball of 216 magnetic spheres

Pull a first partial chain out of the lump

Remove the first partial chain

Place it on the table

Pull another segment of the chain out of the ball

Throw the chain segment onto the table next to the chain.

Repeat this (starting from step 4) until all the beads from the tangle have been used.

Result: A chain of 216 spheres.

Count out 36 spheres

Bend the chain behind the 36th bead.

Repeat 4 more times until you get a 36x6 bracelet.

Alternate folding at the left end (marked in red) and ...

... the right end (marked in orange).

The result is a 36x6 wristband.

Count off 6 rows

Fold the wristband behind the 6th row

Fold 4 additional times:

Flip the bracelet over so the top side faces down.

Fold the bracelet after 6 rows.

Done! This is what the 6x6x6 cube looks like.
