Introduction

If the volume/power control button on your Craig Electronics CMP773 tablet has quit working, this guide will demonstrate how to replace it with the correct tools. During this procedure, be especially careful not to let it fall out when snapping on and off the back cover.

What you need

Remove the two 3.2 mm PH000 screws near the charging port.

Pry the back cover from the device along bottom edge.

Continue prying along each edge of the device until back cover is free.

On the back cover, find the location where the volume/power button is held.
The volume/power button is not held securely after back is removed so it may fall out of place while removing the back cover from the device.
