This guide is to help users replace the motherboard from the Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC 3830.

What you need

  1. Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC 3830 Motherboard Replacement, Motherboard: step 1, image 1 of 2 Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC 3830 Motherboard Replacement, Motherboard: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Remove the four 0.8mm Phillips #00 screws from the back cover.

    • Remove the two screws on top of the motherboard and the two screws on bottom of motherboard

    • Detach the wires from their combs on the motherboard.

    • Detach from comb that is located on motherboard.

    • Remove the small piece from the motherboard.

    Tweezers

    • Use tweezers to remove last piece from the comb on the motherboard.

    • Remove the motherboard by simply lifting it.
