Introduction

The CFL lightbulb has taken over in today's suburban home. Using less than 30 watts to power it and having the same light output as a standard 100 watt incandescent bulb, the CFL is certainly a "bright idea".

Locate the bad bulb and remove it from the socket. This is achieved by grabbing the bulb lightly and rotating counter-clockwise. The bulb may be hot. If so, use gloves, or wait for it to cool.
