Cisco Meraki MC74-HW Back Housing and Device Stand Replacement

Introduction

If you need to access the internal components of the Cisco Meraki MC74-HW or replace a broken back housing cover or stand, use this guide. This process requires a plastic spudger, bit driver, 150 mm flex extension, and H2.0 bit. The following steps present no threat or potential damage to your device.

What you need

Step 1 Back Housing and Device Stand

Extend the stand as far away as possible from the device.
Remove all four 3 mm Hex 2 screws from the stand.
A bit with a flexible extension may be needed to remove these screws.

Lift the stand off the device.

Insert a plastic spudger between the back housing cover and the sensor cover piece.
Work your way slowly around the edges of the device until all the clips have been unclipped.
Do not insert any tool recklessly into the device or you might damage wires and connections.
