Carrelito Usage Training

The Carrelito is a tool used for strapping coils without a plastic spool, only with a cardboard tube on the inner flange of the coil. (Photo 2)

Made of nylon and aluminum, the Carrelito is a reusable spool, designed to attach to coils without a plastic spool.

In addition to being more sustainable, the Carrelito generates great savings for your company, which no longer needs to worry about disposing of plastic spools!

So let's learn together how to use the Carrelito.

The first step to using the carrelito is to take a box of lacito products without a spool! (Photo 1)

Once that is done, open the box of headless ribbon spools! (Photo 2)

Then take a spool and remove it from the box! (Photo 3)

The next step is to remove the 3 side support straps holding the coil; they prevent the coil from unspooling. (Photo 1)

Use scissors to cut them. (Photo 2)

The next step is to open the Carrelito, the Carrelito has a left-hand thread closure, meaning it is the opposite of conventional!

To unscrew it, simply hold the two side flanges and apply force until it starts to unscrew. Remember that the Carrelito has a left-hand thread, therefore to open it, you need to apply force in the opposite direction of the conventional opening direction! (Photo 2)

When unscrewing, separate the two pieces! (Photo 3)

Now take one of the parts of the spool and the coil! (Photo 1)

Place the ribbon coil inside the spool! (Photo 2)

Then take the other half of the spool and begin screwing it on counter-clockwise! (Photo 3)

Screw the spindle in until you feel that the spool is completely secured!

I recommend holding the spindle with both hands and tightening it firmly, until the spool is completely immobile! (Photo 1)

If the operator is unsure whether the spool is fixed, they can perform a test to check.

To test, simply hold the spindle with one hand and force the spool with the other; if the operator feels it move, tighten the spindle a little more, until the spool is fixed! (Photo 2)

With this, the Carrelito is ready for use!

It is used in the machine in the same way as a plastic spool!
