    • Take lower section off first, take care not to strain the battery wires

    • Some people simply cut the old battery wires and heat shrink them to new battery wires to avoid having to re-solder the small solder points on the PCB.

    • If you want to ensure your unit stays waterproof, you can add a thin line of silicone seal around case prior to reassembly

I can't recommend a particular one, when my Smartpack battery died I cannibalized an OEM battery from a broken Packtalk unit.

Here are a couple batteries on offer from Ebay and Amazon that claim they fit the Packtalk and have some good reviews (do your own research):
