Introduction
This guide shows the process for replacing a battery on the Canon Rebel t6i. Troubleshoot the battery before obtaining a replacement. Make sure the charger is working and it is the right type of battery. If the old battery is punctured or damaged, Take precaution when disposing the battery as the contents may be toxic.

Open up the hatch labeled "Batt.Open " and pull the gray notch away from the battery.

Remove the battery when it pops up out of its socket.
