    • One smaller screw on the underside of the arm

    • Work around the top of the case with the spudger until the entire top is free from the back.

    • Reference images for where the case is connected are shown.

    • You will end up just running your spudger along the entire case. Just keep working around until it separates.

  10. Brother XM2701 Disassembly, Remove front case: step 11, image 1 of 1
    • Lift the bottom up and out. When I did this I used a little to much force and accidentally popped off my front wheel. It was easy to put back on. It is hard to get off so make sure you get it right and not backwards.

    • You need to lift from the bottom forward to escape the top dials.

  11. Brother XM2701 Disassembly, Lubricate: step 12, image 1 of 1
    • Use compressed air to remove debris inside of the machine.

    • Lubricate metal moving parts

    • Use the hand wheel to get parts into a better spot to apply lubricant

    • Avoid getting lubricant on belts

    • Use a larger screw driver if removing other pieces inside the machine. The screws can be easily stripped.

  12. Brother XM2701 Disassembly, In Case: step 13, image 1 of 2 Brother XM2701 Disassembly, In Case: step 13, image 2 of 2
    • If you happen to get your center wheel removed this is the position is needs to be in for the "1" stitch

This is so so useful, thank you so much!!! All I had to do was get my reverse button going again, and I can’t afford the downtime of my machine being in the shop… Long Live DIY!!!
