Brother CS6000i Thread Cutter Replacement

This guide will be showing you how to remove and replace the thread cutter on a Brother CS6000i sewing machine. The thread cutter is a handy feature that allows the user to safely and easily cut the excess thread from the machine and workpiece. Some symptoms related to a faulty thread cutter are the thread not cutting when attempting to use the cutter (dull blade) or the thread cutter being overly exposed and no longer safe due to a broken blade enclosure.

What you need

  1. Brother CS6000i Thread Cutter Replacement, Thread Cutter: step 1, image 1 of 2 Brother CS6000i Thread Cutter Replacement, Thread Cutter: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Take off the the white cover on the front left side.

    • Remove the 8 mm Phillips #2 screw securing the thread cutter to the housing.
